Hey that would be great.
I could give you access to an FTP server where we could make it available to download. |

I though the programme was presented very well, with some good subject matter & video footage. Some of the content was posibbly slightly controversial (made yet another political debate on SSC ), but that's I suppose is just Dubai attempting to keep some of its old ways.
Did anybody else watch it? (did it show on satalite in Europe?)
. . . Next Mondays programme sounds better, is all about Dubai's Real Estate:D |

Of course it is on SAT in europe... After all, people on the continent and the island tune into the SAME sat. he he he.
I do not know if I liked what I saw. Sensorship in the media, lack of human rights, lots of restrictions.. It makes me change my mind about Dubai.
Hopefully the real-estate episode this monday is changing that a little.
Where on SCC is the debate? The site is soo big, I think I missed it... Link please! |

Did anyone see last night's edition of this, specifically anout the property boom.
There were a lot of comments like "speculative", "high risk", "caveat emptor", "long delays" and a reference to a development called The Jewel which has collapsed "leaving millions owing to investors". |

Yep, phrases unfortunately known to lighthouse investors too... I liked the episode. Was not too impressed with the Arabian Ranches show-home and the real-estate salesman just irritated me to bits.
Overall, I think it was a good program, although the couple that bought into the Arabian ranches was a little shocked when they saw the Marina developments. I would be shocked if they turned out to be my neighbours. ha ha ha.
In short, I liked this episode a lot. A bit too much palm bla bla for my taste but it had some nice marina shots and gave me the confidence boost I needed. |

Yes I Agree with the previous posts & maybe a little too much Nakheel & not enough Emaar, even so I really enjoyed the show
I especially liked some of the camera views flying around SZR & around the Jumeirah Area. A little bit more of the Marina would have been nice though! |

They where super! Did you see the pools on some of the towers. Really nice. Too bad the marina diamonds do not have rooftop swimming pools. |

Here is an mpeg file of the first episode for download.
http://www.oldiges.com/lighthouse/DubaiDreams_Episode_1.mpg
Beware! Its >500MB in size.
I will keep it online as long as possible. There is only so much traffic included in the monthly server fee, you know.
Thanks to Dubai Freak for uploading it! |

'Megger Structures' - Monday 6th Feb 8pm UK TV channel 5. The TV mag says: "The story of the Crown Prince of Dubai's schemes to create the worlds largest artificial island. This vast structure was built in just two years from entirely natural materials"
Sounds good |
